Four laps, four beers: the codified running contest from Canada.

Origin: The beer mile was written down in Kingston, Canada in 1989, and those Kingston Rules are still the standard. Official world championships have been held since 2014, with world records under five minutes.
Setup: A track or a 400 metre loop, four bottles or cans per person in the transition zone.
How to play:
- Before each of the four laps you drink a whole beer
- Drinking happens only in the transition zone, never while running
- The bottle must be empty before the runner sets off
- After four laps and four beers you are done, the clock decides
Penalty: Throwing up adds a fifth penalty lap under the rules.
Common sense: Four beers in a few minutes is a lot. For a weekend round four half bottles or an alcohol free version work just as well and the clock is just as much fun.
