How to play
Origin: Stein holding is a Bavarian pub and fairground discipline with proper championships and a rulebook. A full stein weighs around two and a half kilograms, which is why nobody lasts long.
Setup: One full stein or large glass per person, everyone standing with space around them.
How to play:
- Grip the handle and extend your arm straight forward
- The arm stays straight, the stein stays at shoulder height
- A referee keeps time and watches the posture
You are out when:
- the arm drops or bends
- the stein tilts or spills
- the second hand helps
Drinking: First to give up takes three sips, the winner hands out three more.
Safety: Keep space around you, full steins are heavy and glass is sharp.
