How to play
Origin: Chinchirorin is a Japanese dice gambling game that spread through back alleys and bars after the Second World War. The manga Kaiji brought it to a wider audience. The name imitates the rattle of the dice in the bowl.
Setup: A bowl or wide cup in the middle of the table, three dice.
How to play:
- Players take turns throwing the three dice into the bowl
- Two matching dice form the pair, the third one is your score
- No pair? Up to three attempts, then it counts as a miss
Values (ascending):
- Miss (shonben): worst result
- Pair plus 1 to 6 as the score
- 4-5-6: instant win
- Pinzoro (1-1-1): highest throw of the round
Drinking:
- Miss: two sips
- Lowest score of the round: one sip
- Throw pinzoro and you hand out five sips
