How to play
Origin: The centurion, also known as the century club, comes from British halls of residence. The maths behind it: a hundred shots of beer at roughly 25 millilitres add up to about two and a half litres, four pints in under two hours.
Setup: One shot glass per person, several bottles of beer at hand, a clock or a timer that chimes every minute.
How to play:
- Every full minute you drink one shot glass of beer
- Refill straight away and wait for the next minute
- No drinking ahead, waiting keeps everyone on the same pace
- Miss a minute and you are out
Sensible limits:
- Agree beforehand where you stop, 30 or 60 minutes is plenty
- Water sits next to it and does not count as a missed minute
- Anyone who wants out gets out, no discussion
Careful: This is the hardest game in this collection. Two and a half litres of beer in a short time is too much for many people. Shorter versions are just as much fun.
